The restoration and gold leaf of memorial plaques like this one are always an honour to do and a poignant reminder to myself of the sacrifice given in the past by these brave men and women. The lettering on this one was orginally white I believe, but had just about disappeared over the years... this time around its been freshened up with a fitting antique gold. Stands out a treat now. The plaque sits on the outside of Leicester's Memorial Holbrook Hall, next to St Guthlac's Church in Knighton.
