The Signs are Golden! Signwriting & Gilding - Al Scott Signwriter

Gilding and Hand Gilt Lettering is one of those Crafts that never seems to lose its shine even in the modern signage scene., you just can't substitute real Gold Leaf!
These are a couple of recent projects that have come through the workshop... and both really quite different.
The Groucho Club in Central London's Soho Area is a well known established members only club ... both these bespoke signs now reside inside the famous club... 23.5ct Gold Leaf lettering with a Signwritten shadow to make it stand out more on the headers... on solid oak signs.
The other is keeping a traditional honours board in the style and finish it was initially started in all those years ago.. This was again, Signwritten and Gilded by Hand, recreating the original type style and feel up to date.
Its an honour to know that your a little part of keeping this old traditional art still alive in the modern 21st century world of signage... long may it continue!
