Been a busy bee of late, so a bit behind on my updates...
And this recently completed project being one of those reasons.

The Hope Bell Memorial Project

The Hope Bell is a clock chime installation, recently completed by John Taylor & Co Bell Foundry and is installed in Queens Park, in the centre of Loughborough in Leicestershire.

Had the honour of working again with the cool guys at John Taylor & Co Bell Foundry on a job that used...er, just a tiny bit of Gold Leaf!

The 23.5ct 'Distressed Finish' Gold Leaf covered metal scrollwork reads a Poem by Mary Elizabeth Frye, titled  ‘Do Not Stand at my Grave and Weep’

The bells will form a lasting memorial to residents who died in the Covid19 outbreak, and remember all those public servants who put themselves at risk dealing with the pandemic.

....As I mentioned, an absolute honour to be a part of this Memorial, and a big thank you to all involved, especially Nathan who was indispensable on this one!
